It begins with a relationship.

It begins with a relationship.

Everyone is somehow connected with family, friends, and others. Community is a part of life. Some relationships are amazing. Others are not. The people in our lives shape who we are and how we relate to others.

The most important relationship we have is with a God who created us and desires a personal relationship with him. Paul, who wrote a letter to the believers in Philippi, said that he realized that his relationship with Jesus Christ was the defining one of his life.

Paul wrote, “Everything is worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have discarded everything else, counting it all as garbage” (Philippians 3:8 NLT).

Like Paul, and many others, I too pursue to deepen my relationship with Jesus Christ. As a result, not only do I know that heaven is my eternal home, I also live my life with a purpose of loving others like Jesus and experience a life with meaning.
